JuNoWriMo 2020 Day 8

Okay, today I pushed myself to rise from bed early.

So early in fact that I had time to lift weights for 25 minutes, followed by sweating, glowing, gyrating, shimmying to music during a 43-minute cardio session of squats, bachata, salsa, soca moves, and push-ups. This is one of my favorite songs (click here if you dare to be overcome by THE DANCING!).

Took the little ones to the park for a lovely and invigorating nature walk.

The flowers blooming on trees and bushes are GORGEOUS!

We collected sticks. There are so many delightful activities to do with sticks:

  1. Build an unlit campfire.
  2. Create geometric shapes such as squares, rectangles, rhombuses, trapezoids, and so on.
  3. Line the sticks up by length.
  4. Count the sticks by twos, threes, fours, and more.
  5. Create Land Art. More information can be found here.

We walked, climbed, jumped, skipped. I turned on our mega bubble machine (battery operated? oh yes, of course, dear) and chased those bubbles until we were overcome with laughter and fatigue.

Today was a good day. I am thankful and hope that tomorrow is, too.

Oh, and today’s word count?

2,281 🙂
