Haikubes – April 12th, 2020

As a child, my fascination with fantastical creatures such as gnomes, fairies, and elves branched off into other interests like vampires, werewolves, water spirits, and gargoyles (to name a few!). I grew up watching series and movies teeming with these characters, as well devouring tons of stories from the pages of books or from tales my mother and father shared from their island nations.

So, when I was old enough to play Dungeons & Dragons, I rolled those dice with grace and panache. The first character I created was an archer class elf. 🙂 And of course, I loved playing Legend of Zelda (and before some of you come at me with, “but Link and Zelda are not elves,” well I have one thing to say, “Well EXCUSE ME, PRINCESS — their Hylian ears are quite elf-like — so there! 😉
